SuperZoo 2017

SuperZoo is the largest pet industry trade show in North America that takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Grandma Lucy's team packed their bags and flew up to Las Vegas for a 3-day adventure full of pets and some of the top industry leaders!

This year's theme at SuperZoo was dubbed "Better Together" by WPA President Doug Poindexter in order to symbolize the industry's ability to adapt, grow, and thrive due to the efforts of multiple pet professionals working alongside one another. As a whole, the pet industry has done some amazing work to continually move the industry forward, and this rang true to our #ProjectPetRAK Program. Through our #ProjectPetRAK Program, we partner with a rescue each month to help them promote kindness to animals in need and in turn donate free food at the end of the program. Normally, we encourage participants to post their Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs) to social media to help raise food, but this year at SuperZoo we wanted to extend the love even more!

Instead of partnering with one rescue, we partnered with two rescues: The Sun Valley Animal Shelter in Glendale Arizona, and Pibbles & More Animal Rescue in Binghamtom, New York. While at SuperZoo, we put on a "Cornhole for a Cause" game that allowed participants a chance to add one free lb. of food for every bean-bag that they made into the cornhole!

Together, the attendees at SuperZoo helped us gain an extra 300 lb. of free food to give to our partnering rescues that will be divided between the two and added to their #ProjectPetRAK totals. A sincere thank you to all our industry partners who stopped by our booth to help raise food for pets in need and learn about our up and coming products!
