What Giving Tuesday Means at Grandma Lucy’s

Giving Tuesday, celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), is a global movement that aims to inspire generosity and encourage people to give back to their communities and causes they care about. Established in 2012, the purpose of Giving Tuesday is to create a counterbalance to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday by emphasizing the importance of generosity and philanthropy.

Breann Shook, co-founder of Grandma Lucy’s, has embodied the spirit of generosity in her journey as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her love for pets inspired her to expand her passion for pet nutrition into a business that ensures natural, healthy pet food is accessible to every pet. As her business grew, her focus on charitable initiatives for pets through the non-profit arm of her business – Project Pet RAK – has made a huge impact on pet well-being around the world. You can read more about Breann and the source of her generosity in her recent interview in Bold Journey magazine.

As pet parents, there are so many ways to give back and embody generosity this Giving Tuesday. We are proud to be official pet food sponsors for Locks4Paws, a 501(c)(3) organization that founded and maintains pet food pantries around the world. Locks4Paws is making real impacts locally and globally to improve the lives of pets, and we’ve made it easy to give through our bag-for-bag match program: you buy a bag, and we’ll double your donation and handle the logistics. Help us make the world a better place for pets by ensuring no pet goes hungry this Giving Tuesday.
