Let's Make A Birthday Celebration Cake!

This August, we celebrate 24 years of our freeze-dried recipes. We'd like to celebrate with a birthday cake made for our favorite furry friends. This cake is, specially crafted for dogs, featuring dog-friendly frosting and our Blueberry, Organic, oven-baked treats. We are sure to use ingredients that are dog-friendly and can easily be found in your pantry or refrigerator.
This special birthday cake is a symbol of appreciation for Grandma Lucy's 24th birthday, bringing joy to both humans and their favorite four-legged family members.
Ingredients:
- Cake:
- 1 cup 3 Bears Chicken (blended)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup Plain Applesauce
- 1/2 cup Pure Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 cup Shredded Carrot
- 3 Tbsp Milk
- 1 Egg
- Frosting:
- 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- Blueberry, Organic, Oven-Baked Dog Treats
Directions:
Cake:

Preheat the oven to 350° and spray two 6-inch cake pans with non-stick spray.

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.

In a large bowl combine the coconut oil, peanut butter, applesauce, pumpkin puree, carrots, milk, and egg. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

Separate the batter into the two prepared pans and bake for 22-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cakes.

Let the cakes cool completely on a cooling rack before frosting and serving to your pup.
Frosting:

In a medium bowl combine the yogurt and peanut butter until smooth. Frost the cake immediately or store the frosting in the fridge until ready to use.

Decorate with organic, oven-baked dog treats as desired.
