Cool Eats & Summer Treats

Keep your pup’s tail wagging this summer with these fun recipes! Try out these snacks with your dog for a way to keep busy inside, and treat your best friend to a sweet treat you can feel good about giving. At only six ingredients or less, these yummy treats are quick to whip up and can be made with items already in your kitchen and your favorite Grandma Lucy’s products. Whether your pup prefers a savory or sweet snack, we have you covered!

Dog eats pupsicle

Berry Delicious Pupsicles                                                                       

Yields 6 pupsicles

These pupsicles feature a delicious cookie crumb base with creamy goat milk and berries on top for a cheesecake-like dessert for your pup. Filled with antioxidants, probiotics, and your favorite flavor of Grandma Lucy’s Organic Oven Baked Treats, these were a hit with the office pups and are sure to be with yours too!

Ingredients:                                                                                                       

1 cup of Grandma Lucy’s Organic Oven Baked Treats of your choice

2 tablespoons of coconut oil

1 cup of goat milk

3 strawberries

A handful of blueberries

 Directions:                                                                                                       

1. Combine Organic Oven Baked Treats with coconut oil in a food processor

2. Press the cookie and coconut oil mixture into the bottom of each pupsicle mold

3. Gently blend goat milk and berries together in a food processor and pour over crust

4. Decorate with extra fruit or berries if you would like

5. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight and enjoy!

Savory Brothsicles                                                                                   

Yields 4 pupsicles

 Pup does not have a sweet tooth? Give these a try! Filled with broth or bone broth plus pumpkin and yummy freeze-dried treats, these pupsicles are a great way to boost digestion, hydration and are perfect for dogs who crave a meatier flavor.

 Ingredients:                                                                                                       

1 and ½ cups of broth or bone broth (make sure it does not include onion or added salt)

1 tablespoon of Grandma Lucy’s Pumpkin Pouch

4 strawberries

A few Grandma Lucy’s Singles treats of your choice

 Directions:

1. Fill popsicle molds ¾ of the way with broth

2. Sprinkle in Grandma Lucy’s Pumpkin Pouch

3. Crumble Singles treats into each popsicle

4. Add chopped strawberries and mix

5. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight

Puppy Parfait                                                                                             

 Yields 1 parfait

 Ingredients:                                                                                                   

 1/3 cup of Grandma Lucy’s Organic Oven Baked Treats of your choice

1/2 cup of Greek yogurt

1/2 cup of mashed bananas

1/2 cup of chopped apples

1/4 cup of blueberries

1/4 cup of diced strawberries

 Directions:                                                                                                       

1. In a bowl, layer 1/3 of the Greek yogurt

2. Sprinkle 1/3 of the crushed Organic Oven Baked Treats over yogurt

3. Layer 1/4 cup of mashed banana

4. Top with chopped apples

5. Add another layer of yogurt

6. Layer more Organic Oven Baked Treats

7. Place the rest of the mashed bananas on top

8. Spoon the remaining yogurt over

9. Pour on the rest of the Organic Oven Baked cookie crumble

10. Place blueberries and diced strawberries on top and garnish with an Organic Oven Baked cookie
