On the Road with Grandma Lucy's!
Grandma Lucy's is excited to have our National Sales Team back on the road, visiting stores, and attending events!
Our Southeast Territory Sales Rep, Jessica Lorenson, stopped by Nooga Paws last week and had the chance to speak with Ray, who is responsible for the purchasing for the store. Nooga Paws is a natural pet market located in the heart of Chattanooga, Tennessee. They provide pet essentials and expert nutrition advice, along with self wash stations for your pup. Thank you Ray, for being part of our interview!
Q: What was it about the pet industry that first interested you?
A: “I wanted to be a better pet parent. We had just adopted a new puppy and I wanted to give the puppy the best start in terms of nutrition and health.”
Q: What is your favorite Grandma Lucy’s product?
A: “That would be a tie between the Macanna Beef and the Organic Apple treats. Macanna is full of many beneficial ingredients that provide other benefits to just meeting daily nutritional requirements. The apple cookies just happen to be my favorite flavor.”
Q: What makes independent pet special?
A: “Our associates are trained on the products and unique aspects of each. They are able to give the best possible recommendations to the pet parents because they have the knowledge needed to suggest something that will benefit the pet but also work for the pet parent. The employees really want to see the pet come back and the products they suggested have helped the pet.”
Q: Favorite part of working in an independent pet retail location?
A: “The variety and quantity of dogs I can see on any given day. From young dogs, to old dogs, pure-bred to a unique combination of breeds. Who doesn’t love coming to work and spending the day talking to dogs?”
