What started your journey into the pet industry?
What started our journey into the pet industry was our father, Dr. Kurzydlo, a local veterinarian in Sarasota, FL.
What inspired you to open an independent pet retailer store?
What inspired us to open an independent retailer store was the push from our father. He, as a vet, knew there was a niche of needing better quality food. The store was opened 33 years ago to help pet parents by educating them and giving them access to higher quality products.
Do you have a furry family members at home?
Of course! We have our 4 cats; Gilligan, Tidbit, Lucy & Nikki.
What is your favorite Grandma Lucy's Product to show to pet parents? Why?
Our favorite Grandma Lucy’s product in store are our Organic Blueberry Oven Baked Treats! One of the most fun things is to crack open a bag & share them with pet parents!
What is your favorite part about working in an independent pet retailer?
Our favorite part about working in an independent pet retailer is having the freedom to bring in so many products & foods that aren’t normally carried in big box pet stores that help pet parents every single day.
